Driftwood with Receding Tide
I love to walk the beach as storms roll in. As the tide recedes reflections enhance the scene, especially as sunset nears.
Gorgeous Pink Sunset
This kind of color and light is unpredictable. Sometimes the sky looks as if it will provide a great sunset and fizzles. Other times it appears that the sky will be dull and fade out. Then, all of a sudden, incredible colors might appear.
As the light fades colors become more blue. The last gasp of sunlight slowly changes from light yellow to orange, to red, and finally to blue-grey.
Stairway to the Bandon Beach
There are several of these stairways down the cliffs to the beach. Otherwise the hike down would be rather daunting.
The Enforcer
Once in a while I find humor in unexpected places.
Last Color of the Day
Moments later everything turned grey. Timing is everything!
Coquille Light with Rainbow
As the rain moved inland with the sun at our backs I predicted a rainbow. I was a short wait for it to appear, then fade away in minutes.
Persistent Gull
This gull would stay on the rail of our balcony until it got some sort of food.
Coquille Lighthouse with Gorse
I found the clouded sky to be a pleasant addition to the scene, Gorse grows almost everywhere in the Bandon area. As pretty as it appears, if you look closely you can see the uninviting thorns along the stems.
Table Rock, First Light
The early sun bathed the upper areas of Table Rock in lovely, golden light. The reflections along the edge of the water echo the rock's glow.
Cherry Tree, Springtime
This tree looks amazing year 'round, but spectacular when its bloom is at its peak.
True for 40 Years.
Bandon's sand is great for drawing!
Layers
The mist exaggerates the layering of rocks fading into the distance.
